Injectables

One of the most important keys to achieving a natural look with cosmetic injectables is to choose a highly skilled and experienced injector who has a thorough understanding of facial anatomy as well as strong sense of artistry.  Once you have that, you can achieve a natural look with just about any cosmetic injectable. Here’s how:

• Botox

Natural-looking Botox is best achieved with a solid treatment plan, strategic and precise injection, and restraint. The location of the injections and the amount of formula make all the difference. It’s always best to start with a low dose and build from there, if needed. Too much Botox or Botox that’s injected incorrectly or imprecisely can create an unnatural frozen expression or an asymmetry to facial expression. While there are some key injection locations that every practitioner should be aware of, a specialized Botox injector will have a deeper understanding of the various layers of the facial anatomy and will be able to see the differences in each individual in order to customize their treatment plan with precision. 

• Dermal fillers

The strategy is similar when creating a natural look with Juvederm, Voluma, or other dermal fillers used to smooth fine lines and wrinkles or add volume to lips, cheeks and other parts of the face. For example, when using a lip filler or cheek filler, an inexperienced filler might just have a standard formula where they inject everyone, creating contours that don’t appear natural on every face. An experienced injector, on either hand, will develop a customized injection strategy that takes into account the unique contours of the individual’s lip or cheek, as well as the proportions of their other features, in order to create a natural-looking appearance.
