What is PRP facial rejuvenation?
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) facial rejuvenation treatment uses platelets from your own blood to promote collagen growth and the regeneration of your facial tissue. PRP treatments soften wrinkles, create smoother texture, and brighten your skin tone – naturally!
PRP therapy differs from fillers and injections in that it stimulates stem cell generation and collagen production to provide total facial rejuvenation rather than addressing and improving individual concerns. Hyaluronic acid fillers such as Restylane and Juvederm fill in specific lines and folds, whereas PRP improves overall volume, fullness, and skin tone.

How PRP facial rejuvenation works and what to expect
At the beginning of your PRP treatment session, we will draw a small tube of your blood and place the tube into a centrifuge machine that separates the white and red blood cells from the platelets and the plasma. The platelets are the cells in your blood that help tissue heal and grow new cells.
While the blood is being prepared, we will cleanse your skin and prepare you for the treatment. Then we’ll remove the tube of blood from the centrifuge machine. When we do, the plasma will be rich with platelets. You may have guessed by now that this is why we call it Platelet Rich Plasma. This is what we’ll use to inject into the deeper layers of your skin where it will begin to work its magic.
We say magic because the results are beautiful, and we’re always enchanted by the wonder of science, but it’s important to note that PRP does not work overnight. PRP stimulates the stem cells right away, but the results begin to show gradually.
Some patients who are very aware of their skin texture and tone begin to see early changes within a couple of weeks. Others might not see the results for a month or so, but the changes will continue to happen for 3 to 6 months after the last treatment.
For optimal results, we recommend 3 PRP facial rejuvenation treatments scheduled one month apart.
